Guinness gizmo promises perfect pour

Guinness Nitrosurge device

Guinness has launched its Nitrosurge device in the UK, a new gadget that lets drinkers replicate the brand’s two-part pour at home.

The pocket-sized device (RSP £25) uses ultrasonic technology to create a surge of nitrogen bubbles that delivers a “satisfyingly smooth Guinness every time”. It is activated by clipping it on top of special cans, before pushing its button and pouring.

Guinness Nitrosurge cans designed exclusively for use with the device are available in multipacks of 4 x 558ml (RSP £7), initially from Tesco. There will be a wider rollout later this year.

Neil Shah, Head of Guinness GB, said: “With Nitrosurge, we’ve pushed the boundaries of technology to give Guinness fans an enhanced pouring experience which delivers beautiful, great tasting Guinness, every time.”
