Cadbury takes a bite at boosting bag sales

Cadbury Boost Bites

Cadbury is introducing a £1 promotional pricemarked Boost Bites 80g bag.

Launched in August 2015, Boost Bites features bitesize portions of the Cadbury countline. Since Boost Bites 108g bag launched in August 2015, the product is worth £5.9m RSV and has the sixth-fastest unit rate of sale in the chocolate bag category.

The new £1 80g PMPs are ideal for on-the-go occasions and aim to help independent stores make the most of shopper excitement surrounding the product. Research suggests that PMPs are helping to make consumers’ hunt for value easier, whilst 30% of shoppers said they would be more likely to buy a product on impulse if it was PMP, and almost half said PMPs make them feel more at ease in store as they don’t have to ask the price.

Matthew Williams, Marketing Director at Mondelez International, said: “The launch of Boost Bites 108g bag has been hugely successful. We are launching the promotional PMP to recruit incremental consumers by giving them more choice and the reassurance of clear pricing.”
