The lack of parking around local shops can be infuriating, particularly when supermarkets seem to have enough spaces to give two to each customer (or perhaps that’s just the Range Rover drivers).
When organisers at the annual Winter Fest in Wisconsin, USA, needed more spaces, a simple plan (and by simple, UTC means, not that bright) emerged. The lake was frozen, it was winter after all, why not just let people park on the frozen lake?
After the inevitable thawing and the sinking of several cars, UTC was left wondering who was more ‘simple’, the drivers or the Winterfest organisers.
