New cola looks to set heather alight

alba cola

The Caledonian Cola Company has launched Alba Cola, a new Scottish premium craft cola aimed at people looking for a change from the big brands.

Made with lightly carbonated Scottish water and heather botanicals, Alba Cola contains only natural sugars and is vegan-friendly.

It is available now in cases of 24 x 330ml cans with an RSP of £1.40 from specialist wholesalers including Glencarse Foods and Cress Co.

The launch is backed by digital and social activity which features photography inspired by Scotland’s people, heritage and culture.

The idea for the soft drink was born when Chris Ewing, one of Caledonian’s founders, noticed the popularity of regional colas in France and spotted a gap in the Scottish market.

Commenting on the launch, Ewing said: “It really is such a versatile cola with a refreshing taste and we look forward to seeing what people think of the world’s favourite soft drink reinvented with a premium Scottish twist.”
