Oreo has teamed-up with legendary 1980s video game Pac-Man to release six Oreo Pac-Man Special Edition cookies, complete with special-edition packaging.

Cookies will have fans powering up their snack game, as they can scan each one to unlock exclusive gaming experiences or enter the barcode from any participating pack to be in with a chance of winning a Pac-Man-related prize.

These include a playable Mini Oreo Pac-Man arcade; an Oreo Pac-Man arcade cabinet; and a holiday to Japan, to spend a week in the home of Pac-Man with a visit to Bandai Namco’s new gaming centre.

Perrine Pierrard-Willaey, Marketing Director Europe at Oreo said: “At Oreo we’re always looking for new ways to add a twist to the way we snack and play, which is why we’re launching the latest in a line of groundbreaking partnerships, which has previously seen us collab with world-renowned brands like Xbox and Batman. We hope this activity helps cookie and gaming fans to chase playfulness as they take part in this nostalgic gaming experience.”

Aadil Tayouga, Licensing & Business Strategy Director at Bandai Namco Europe, added: “Oreo and Pac-Man are renowned for their commitment to playfulness, which makes it a seamless collaboration.

“Both brands appeal to all generations and we can’t wait to see families and friends coming together to enjoy Oreo cookies while playing Pac-Man games for fun and bonding moments.”
