There were scenes of horror on the streets of Carmarthen last month when a wheelie bin was given a parking ticket. Given that wheelie bins aren’t, well, cars, the move was controversial to say the least, even if the bugger was on double yellows.
The truth emerged that a traffic warden had actually been found to exist with a sense of humour and he bunged the ticket on the bin for a laugh after a member of the public joked that it was ‘parked’ on double yellow lines.
However, unable to see the funny side, his bosses at Carmarthenshire council have launched a formal investigation into his conduct.
