Quiz night raises £52k for GroceryAid

GroceryAid quiz night winners

The fourth GroceryAid Quiz Night held on Thursday 11th June at The Emirates Stadium was a resounding success.

The evening welcomed around 36 teams from across the industry – who took part in a variety of themed rounds which included science and technology, commercial break, food and drink, popular music and sports.

More than £52,000 was raised during the event which will enable the charity to look after at least 35 current and former colleagues during the coming year. During the evening guests were also invited to take part in a variety of fundraising activities including Higher & Lower and a Golden Ticket raffle which between them raised £7,650 on the night.

Congratulations go to the winning team, The Quiztal Maze, otherwise known as the Association of Convenience Stores team, headed up by James Lowman. They received a cooking experience for ten people at Jamie Oliver’s Recipease in Notting Hill.

The Quiz Night will be taking place again in 2016 and further details will be available soon.
