Spar has appointed Derek Mylet to the new position of Fresh Foods Development Manager, Scotland.
This specialist role recognises the strategic value that Spar Scotland places on its Fresh Food offer and provides a field champion to further develop their fresh food and chilled categories and at the same time improve the support to retailers at the front line.
Mylet’s career has spanned over 30 years where he has held various management roles and developed extensive retail knowledge with major multiple retailers. His passion and speciality is Fresh Foods and he joins Spar with a wealth of experience in this field.
Mylet will use his specialist background to introduce a fresh approach to Fresh Food within Spar Scotland, complemented by his drive and energy to help retailers develop fresh and chilled sales and maximise the potential of this key category.
