McVitie’s is spicing up the biscuit aisle with Digestives The Light One Golden Cinnamon – a limited‑edition, lower‑sugar variant that brings a warming, on‑trend flavour to the brand’s better‑for‑you range.
With 30% less sugar than the standard variant, the new biscuit combines the familiar salty‑sweet Digestive crunch with a gentle hit of cinnamon and is positioned as a lighter way to enjoy a biscuit break without compromising on taste.
It is available now in Morrisons, with a wider rollout from 11 January.
The 300g packs carry an RSP of £1.69.
The launch follows a 17% rise in cinnamon consumption since 2023/24 across coffee, porridge and spreads; McVitie’s expects the trend to translate to biscuits and to drive incremental impulse buys as colder weather boosts demand for comforting snacks.
