Havana Club has revealed a redesigned bottle for its Añejo 7 Años rum, with a new look inspired by the architecture, energy and culture of Havana.
Rolling out globally, the updated packaging aims to highlight the brand’s Cuban heritage while retaining the same award-winning rum inside the bottle.
First created in 1978 by Don José Navarro, Havana Club Añejo 7 Años helped establish the ageing process that underpins the brand’s light Cuban rum style. The liquid remains unchanged and continues to be made using a continuous ageing method designed to deliver depth, complexity and consistency.
The new bottle features sunburst motifs inspired by the Cuban sun, embossed detailing, gold accents and a cigar-shaped label. Havana Club has also given greater prominence to the D.O.P Cuba designation and the seven-year age statement on pack.
The relaunch also highlights the brand’s links to Cuba’s cocktail culture, with Havana Club promoting a ‘Golden Mojito’ serve that uses Añejo 7 Años in place of white rum.
The new-look bottle is rolling out across European markets including the UK and will continue to be sold at its existing RSP.
