Clydebank store goes on the market

Singh Stores, an established convenience store in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, has been put up for sale.

The store, which is centrally located on Auckland Place, has been operated by the current owner for more than 35 years.

Property specialist Christie & Co believes the new owners could increase turnover by modernising internally and improving the offering. For example, during the pandemic the current owner reduced the store’s opening hours, it trades for nine hours per day and closes on Sunday.

In addition, adding a hot food-to-go option and services, such as the National Lottery and PayPoint, could also help increase sales.

Liam Bain, Business Agent in Christie & Co’s Scottish Retail team who is handling the sale, said: “This is an outstanding opportunity to acquire a leasehold business in a busy housing area. We believe this would suit a first-time buyer who is looking to run their own business in a ‘hands-on’ manner.”

Singh Stores is on the market on a leasehold basis at £30,000.
