Drinks distributor Speciality Brands has secured an exclusive UK partnership with Brazilian cachaça brand Abelha.
A key ingredient in the caipirinha cocktail, cachaça is Brazil’s national spirit, made by fermenting and distilling fresh sugar cane juice.
Abelha is a certified organic cachaça produced without added sugar or additives, using natural ingredients and artisanal production methods.
Two expressions are now available across both the off- and on-trades. Abelha Cachaça Silver (39% ABV, 70cl) has an RSP of £29.50, while Abelha Cachaça Gold (39% ABV, 70cl) carries an RSP of £36.50.
Abelha Cachaça Silver is rested for six months in open steel tanks, developing notes of fresh sugar cane and stone fruit, alongside a smooth, dry finish.
Abelha Cachaça Gold is aged for three years in 250-litre Garapeira wood casks, delivering honeyed aromatics, tropical fruit and spice.
