The Today’s Group has rolled out a weekly short video – or vlog – in which Managing Director Darren Goldney gives members tips on improving efficiency and cutting business costs.
“Following our highly successful trade show in March, two key messages came through from our independent member wholesalers,” explained Goldney. “We need help to take cost out of our businesses to be able to re-invest in our customers, and we also need to deliver excellent brand activity that drives the category forward.”
In the 60-second ‘Save More Sell More’ films, members are told about the best money saving deal or agreement that the Group has negotiated on their behalf with partner companies to help reduce operating costs.
The second part of the film targets a key brand activity that is currently running in the promotional period. During recent weeks KP, Coca Cola, pladis, Halewood and Nestlé have all benefited from the initiative.
Independent wholesale member, Manish Dhamecha, said: “The Group’s weekly Save More Sell More vlog gives my team a focus to look at a key means of taking costs out of our business and ensure that we are as efficient as we can be. It also provides us with a great selling tip to action in our depots.”
