Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands (BBFB) is to take over distribution of Old Forester Kentucky Bourbon from 1st April.
The Brown Forman owned brand is the latest addition to the portfolio which sees distribution of Old Forester switch from Mangrove to BBFB.
Old Forester was America’s first bottled Bourbon, brought to market in 1870 by the former pharmaceutical salesman turned bourbon merchant George Garvin Brown, the founder of the Brown-Forman Corporation.
Amanda Almond, Managing Director for Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands, thanked Mangrove for its “instrumental” role in establishing Old Forester in the UK.
She added: “Old Forester will now take its place within our award winning portfolio of American Whiskies as we continue to lead and grow the category with our customers.”
