Gran Luchito has launched a new range of Taco Recipe Kits in a bid to shift UK perceptions of Mexican cuisine.
Coming in four flavour profiles – Al Pastor, Barbacoa, Birria and Carnitas – the kits (RSP £3.95) launch initially in Ocado and Waitrose. They will be available to convenience retailers from Cotswold Fayre in January.
The launch aims to put tacos at the centre of Mexican cooking in the UK, challenging the common misconception that fajitas define the category. Made in Mexico using high-quality ingredients and authentic recipes, the kits are designed to emulate scratch-style cooking and deliver bold flavours in just 15 minutes.
Each kit follows a simple three-step format: a spice blend, a rich base sauce and a vibrant finishing sauce. The result is what the brand calls “the perfect balance of convenience and authenticity” for consumers seeking easy meal solutions without compromising on taste.
The Taco Recipe Kits join Gran Luchito’s wider portfolio, which includes Soft Taco Wraps, Salsas, Sauces, Seasonings and Tortilla Chips.
