Treasury Wine Estates has launched 19 Crimes Calimocho, a lighter wine-based drink, in the UK.
Calimocho is inspired by Spain’s Kalimotxo cocktail, a mixture of equal parts red wine and cola.
The range is available in two variants. The first stays close to the original, blending Shiraz with cola, while the second is a more off-piste option combining white wine with lemon.
Both are 9% ABV and come in 75cl bottles with an RSP of £9. The range is initially rolling out into Morrisons at a promotional price of £7.50.
The launch is supported by the brand’s debut TikTok campaign, designed to “put Calimocho on the radar of those wanting to kick back and have fun this summer”.
It comes as consumer demand for lower-ABV wine options continues to grow.
