Greens Retail has launched its second ‘foodvenience’ store, on Hospital Hill in Dunfermline.
Opening nine months after the original Greens on the Go in Edinburgh, the Dunfermline site posed a new challenge for founder Harris Aslam as he refined the proposition for a city with a lower density footfall.
As with its Edinburgh counterpart, the store brings together food for now and food for later, offering a selection of freshly made foods, hot options, and every day essentials.
Baked potatoes, chicken and burgers are all on the menu, and a Hot Dog Zone features classic, Kabanos & cheese bacon variants.
Customers have also been promised “the coolest snacks & drinks from across the globe” including viral treats, international favourites, healthy bites and indulgent goodies.
The former Tim Hortons coffee shop offers Greens Coffee Co. unlimited refills for £3.50. This is a notable change from the Edinburgh outlet, which offers its own G.O.A.T.-branded coffee.
Customers have plenty of choice with the self-serve Noodle Station offering over 50 varieties.
A self-service salad bar comprises over 40 fresh options, plus lots of sauces.
A Fisher and Donaldson bakery counter is packed with sweet and savoury pastries and the bakery’s famous fudge doughnuts.
Sandwiches, wraps, baguettes and bagels are freshly prepared throughout the day and shoppers can choose from a range of fresh fruit and snacks to accompany their meal.
The first 100 customers through the door received a free goodie bag.
“This isn’t just another convenience store. It’s a completely new way of thinking about convenience,” the store told Facebook followers. “Bring your friends, bring your family and come see what all the fuss is about!”
