Wallyford c-store wants to alter delivery restrictions

Day-Today Wallyford, in East Lothian, is seeking permission for 5am deliveries.

Retailer Fiasal Omer wants council planners will allow him to vary the delivery restrictions at the Salters Road store from 7am to 11pm to 5am to 11pm.

The deliveries would take place to the rear of the store, adjacent to residential properties.

In his supporting statement to East Lothian Council, he highlighted that many supplier deliveries took place before 7am and their timings were out of his control.

His statement said: “To accommodate the possibility of deliveries missing the specified times within the current planning condition we have submitted a planning application to change the condition to ‘no deliveries of rolls and newspapers between the hours of 23.00 hours and 05.00 hours’.

“We will continue to monitor these deliveries on our CCTV system and address any issues we need to be dealt with. Staff in the shop are always available should complaints arise.”
