United Wholesale Scotland (UWS) has reported record attendance and sales at its 2026 Day-Today & usave Trade Show.

The event brought together 95 supplier partners, with retailer attendance up 34% and sales value increasing 39% compared with last year. Orders placed during the show reached close to £900,000.

UWS said the results come as it continues to invest in expanding its Day-Today and usave symbol groups and the digital transformation of its retail estate. The wholesaler is targeting £500m in sales by 2030 and plans to progress a new depot in 2027.

The business now has 150 digitally enabled black fascia stores in Scotland and 20 in London, with a further 53 stores awaiting rollout. UWS also expects 28 new stores to join Day-Today by the end of 2026, while 21 existing green Day-Today stores have already been converted to usave with a further 37 pending.

Trade show celebrations continued with the 2026 Day-Today Awards, which recognised standout retailers across the symbol group. Day-Today Vansdorf Way was named Best Overall Day-Today Store, while awards also went to Beeches Road, Day-Today Catrine, Day-Today Anniesland and Day-Today Haddington.

Supplier awards were presented to a range of brands including Imperial Brands, Coca-Cola, AG Barr, AB InBev, Princes, Red Bull, Diageo, Cruzcampo and AU Vodka.

A Scottish-themed trade show dinner saw UWS donate £5,000 each to the Tartan Army Children’s Charity and the Sunshine Appeal. The event also marked the debut of Baggsy, the new Day-Today mascot, which will appear at future store launches, community events and depot visits.

Chris Gallacher, Managing Director of UWS, said: “This was our biggest and most successful trade show to date, and the results demonstrate the strength of the partnerships we have built with both our retailers and suppliers.

“Our ambition now is to build on that momentum. We are seeing strong growth across both Scotland and London and continue to invest across every part of the business – from our depots and delivered operation to the ongoing development of our Day-Today and usave symbol groups and our digital.

“As we work towards our £500m sales ambition, our focus remains firmly on sustainable growth and creating even greater opportunities for our retailers and supplier partners.”
