Time Inc. UK’s titles Golf Monthly, World Soccer and Rugby World are launching a series of sport specials called The Ultimate Sport Series.
Ten perfect bound specials will come out each year. Time hopes the series will be high revenue generating for retailers, with each edition carrying a premium cover price of £9.99.
The special issues provide an expert reference point for those readers looking to both improve their performance and knowledge of their sport. The first in the series is a 132-page issue targeted at golf fans, titled ‘Build a Better Swing’, and is available now.
Hamish Dawson, Publishing Director of Time’s Sport and Recreation titles, said: “There’s a clear opportunity in the markets served by our three iconic sport media brands to deliver additional, focused, premium content to our audiences. We already know that readers are willing to invest in premium priced magazines that can be kept and referred to and that they want more from their favourite brands.”
The Ultimate Sport Series is distributed by Marketforce, and independent retailers wishing to receive copies can do so by contacting their wholesaler.
