Dalmuir store changes hands

Singh Stores

Local retailers Billy and Bal Singh are retiring after 38 years serving the community from their store in the Dalmuir area of Clydebank.

Located in a busy housing scheme, Singh Stores has built up a loyal customer base for its wide range of convenience items.

The store has now been purchased by an experienced local operator who is looking to refit and develop the business.

Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co handled the sale. Business Agent Liam Bain had originally tried to create a new lease for the business but soon discovered a strong demand to purchase the property.

He commented: “After several viewings, we accepted a cash offer at asking price. I’m delighted to have achieved a successful sale for Billy and Bal and wish them all the best with retirement.”

Billy Singh said he “couldn’t be happier” with the selling experience. “I could not thank Christie & Co and Liam more for his negotiation skills, resulting in a fantastic outcome for me as the seller.”
