In this month’s utterly useless piece of market research UTC takes a look at how cake makes people happy. He knows that will come as a shock to many readers, but deep analysis undertaken by the completely unbiased British Baker magazine discovered that people like eating cake. Delving into the hardcore statistics, nearly 80% of us treat ourselves to cake at least three times a week (about half of Mrs UTC’s intake) and 40% bake at home.
Hilariously the press release that accompanied the research had a bit about ‘cupcake naysayers’ which UTC only wishes he had the space to discuss in more detail.
