Minister supports SGF Healthy Living Programme

Pete Cheema, Maureen Watt and Graeme Knowles

Nisa Local retailer Graeme Knowles has hosted an official visit by Scottish government Public Health Minister Maureen Watt MSP.

Graeme’s store is in the heart of the Minister’s Aberdeen constituency. The visit, arranged by the SGF, aimed to show the Minister how the SGF Healthy Living programme is being implemented in-store.

The visit also gave the Minister an opportunity to meet new SGF Chief Executive Pete Cheema.

Commenting on the visit Cheema said: “The Minister was clearly impressed by the success of the Healthy Living Programme and how effectively Graeme implements it in store. We were very encouraged by her enthusiasm for the programme.”

Also in attendance was the Healthy Living Programme’s Director Ross Kerr, who told the Minister that over 1,000 stores were participating in the Programme’s major rebranding exercise.
