With rum and Asian tipples both predicted to be big in 2024, Love Drinks has added the Kiyomi white rum brand from Japan to its portfolio.
Kiyomi Rum (40% ABV) is available now at an RSP of £54.29 per 70cl bottle.
It is produced by the Helios Distillery on the island of Okinawa, Japan’s most southerly region. Here, the sugar cane grown to produce Kiyomi benefits from a mineral-rich soil and a tropical climate. The resulting molasses ferment for 30 days before distillation in a copper pot still.
This extended fermentation results in a white rum that offers notes of truffle, banana flambé and other tropical fruits.
Specialists in Japanese drinks, Love Drinks already distributes the Kurayoshi whisky brand, Etsu gin, the ‘La’ liqueur trio, Samurai sake and Kohaku No Madoromi shochu.
