J2O goes for Pear Gold

Britvic Soft Drinks has announced its latest J2O limited edition, J2O Pear Gold. This 2013 summer limited edition combines pear and guava, with the company saying it offers consumers a soft drink alternative to cider.

J2O Pear Gold is available now and has been created to broaden the appeal of the brand to a wider audience, keeping the brand modern and up-to-date. A refreshing alternative to alcohol, J2O Pear Gold will drive penetration of the brand over the crucial summer months ensuring J2O is at the heart of the ‘Adult Get Together’. The limited edition variant will be available in four-pack glass format for the grocery and convenience channel.

J2O Pear Gold will benefit from increased awareness driven by the overall 2013 multimedia brand marketing campaign which includes TV advertising, radio support, on-pack promotion and interactive content on the J2O Facebook page. It will also be supported by bespoke outlet activity later in the year in the leisure and wholesale channels.

Jonathan Gatward, GB Marketing Director at Britvic Soft Drinks, commented: “We’ve had a great deal of success with J2O limited editions over the years as they excite consumers and capture their attention at point of purchase.  We’re extremely confident that J2O Pear Gold will build on this, bringing new consumers into the brand and providing them with a credible soft drink as an alternative to cider which is one of the summer’s most popular on-trend alcoholic drinks.
