International Beverage has confirmed the structure of its new International Spirits Senior Leadership Team, as UK Managing Director Malcolm Leask steps down.
Leask, who joined the business almost 30 years ago and has led the UK operation for the past three years, will leave his role this month.
From October, the International Spirits Leadership Team will report to the Chief of Spirits International, who is based in Thailand. Several team members are based at the company’s headquarters in Airdrie.
Fiona Kennie has been appointed Global Marketing Director, following her promotion to Marketing Director for the Scotch portfolio last year. She will continue to work with Alan Mitchell, Operations Director for the Scotch business, who oversees maturation and blending and bottling facilities in Airdrie, as well as five distilleries in Scotland.
Cardrona Distillery Founder and Managing Director Desiree Reid will move into the role of Global Sales Director before the end of 2025. Reid has been part of the senior leadership team since International Beverage acquired Cardrona Distillery in 2023. Cardrona Chief Financial Officer Henry Caulton will take over as Acting Managing Director of the New Zealand-based business. Emmanuel Dokhelar will continue as Managing Director of Larsen Cognac in France, following his appointment in 2024.
The enhanced team will lead global growth for International Beverage’s spirits portfolio, which includes single malt whisky brands in Scotland, Larsen Cognac in France, Cardrona spirits in New Zealand, and Thai spirits including Phraya Rum and Prakaan, said to be Thailand’s first single malt whisky.
