Pernod Ricard UK’s current Business Development Director Ian Peart (pictured) has been promoted to Commercial Director, effective from 1 July 2020. He replaces Chris Ellis.
Peart joined the drinks giant in 2006 as Field Sales Director and has held several positions in the Commercial team. For the last three years, as Business Development Director, he has been responsible for identifying, developing and accelerating growth opportunities for Pernod Ricard in the UK.
Ellis has decided to leave the business after 16 years in four different roles, most latterly as the Commercial Director. He leaves Pernod Ricard with its highest-ever market share in the off- and on-trade channels.
Commenting on the appointment, Pernod Ricard’s UK boss David Haworth said: “I am delighted for Ian who has a wealth of industry experience having worked in the UK drinks industry for 28 years, the last 14 years at Pernod Ricard in a number of roles within the business. Chris has been with Pernod Ricard for 16 very positive years in a variety of Commercial roles and has decided the time is right to move on – Chris goes with our very best wishes for his next adventure.”
