Heineken gets new Off-Trade boss

David Porter

Martin Porter (pictured), Heineken’s Off-trade Managing Director in the UK for the past six years, has been promoted to the new role of Senior Director European Off-Trade and Global Customers, based in Amsterdam.

His shoes will be filled by Simon Amor, currently UK/Ireland Sales Director of Colgate-Palmolive, commencing October.

David Forde, Heineken’s UK MD, said: “We wish Martin the very best as he continues his Heineken career in an international role.  Martin championed a strong customer focus in the UK which has been recognised in our strong Advantage Group Survey results. The delivery of multi-year trading deals and strategic relationships with many of our major trade partners is testament to the great work of the team.”

Porter will report directly to Stefan Orlowski, European Regional President.  He will be responsible for delivering the revised Off Trade Strategy for Europe to drive growth with Global Customers across all channels.

Simon Amor has over 20 years’ experience across the retail and FMCG industry. Welcoming him to the business, Forde said: “He will continue our focus on category leadership to provide value and help our customers grow their businesses.”
