The kids are alright

Errington Cheese is preparing to launch goat’s milk cheese this autumn after taking delivery of several Yorkshire Dairy Goats.

The South Lanarkshire-based company is able to bring the product to market so quickly because of the short time it takes for lactic goat’s cheese to mature. An added benefit comes from the fact that goats lactate all year round – unlike sheep – allowing Errington to provide regular employment.

Selina Cairns, Director of the firm, commented: “We are excited to welcome these lovely goats to our farm. I am pleased to say they are settling in well and seem to have adjusted to the new surroundings. We have even had some kids already who are doing well. This is a positive next step for us here at Errington Cheese.”

Errington Cheese is available from specialist wholesalers The Cress Company and Clark’s.
