Kerrygold is entering a new dairy category in the UK with the launch of Kerrygold Cream Cheese, building on the brand’s continued momentum in butter.
Made from the milk of Irish grass-fed cows, Kerrygold Cream Cheese has been developed to deliver a rich, natural taste and smooth texture, using simple ingredients.
According to research from Kerrygold brand owner Ornua, consumer interest in a Kerrygold cream cheese offering is high, with strong appeal among existing cream cheese buyers and Kerrygold shoppers. A significant proportion of Kerrygold shoppers already purchase cream cheese and are willing to pay more for quality, clean-label products.
The launch comes as the cream cheese category continues to grow in the UK, with value sales increasing year on year and purchase frequency also rising. Health and wellness considerations are helping to support growth across the wider cheese category, including cream cheese.
Kerrygold Cream Cheese will be available in a 180g gold-coloured round tub with an RSP of £2.50. It is available in Sainsbury’s stores now and is rolling out in Morrisons stores during May, with further major listings planned later in the year. The launch is supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign.
