Erdinger Weissbräu has launched its Brauhaus Helles into the UK off-trade.
Helles is the second-most-popular beer style in Germany, and Brauhaus Helles has been brewed by Erdinger in its home town of Erding, Bavaria, since 1991.
The 5.1% ABV lager is now available in 500ml bottles with an RSP of £2.75 and can be ordered from UK distributor Carlsberg Britvic, alongside an initial rollout across more than 300 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide.
Brauhaus Helles is a pale lager with a smooth, balanced profile, featuring a rounded body and gentle, spicy malted barley notes. The beer undergoes extended cold storage to fully develop its aroma and is brewed in line with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516.
