Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has welcomed the King’s Baton Relay to its East Kilbride manufacturing site as part of the Baton’s 23-day journey across Scotland ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
CCEP, the Official Soft Drinks Provider to Glasgow 2026, hosted colleagues and members of the local community at its Milton Road facility in early July to mark the Baton’s arrival.
The East Kilbride site, which opened in 1964, produces more than 1,000 bottles and cans every minute, serving customers across Scotland and supporting CCEP’s operations across Great Britain.
During the visit, colleagues from across the facility passed the Baton between teams working in production, filling and distribution.
The Baton carries the King’s Message in a specially designed chamber and will visit more than 50 events and festivals across Scotland before the message is read at the Opening Ceremony on 23 July.
Collette Stevenson MSP for East Kilbride and Joe Fagan MSP for South Scotland attended the event.
As Official Soft Drinks Provider to Glasgow 2026, CCEP will supply Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Powerade and Smartwater across Games venues.
Glasgow 2026 will take place from 23 July to 2 August, with 3,000 athletes from across the Commonwealth competing in 10 sports at venues across Glasgow and Scotland.
