Hippeas Organic Chickpea Puffs has partnered with Veganuary in a new campaign that centres around a film showing celebrity ambassadors talk about why people across the UK should ‘Give Veganuary A Chance’.

The celebrities include Capital FM’s Roman Kemp, Wicked Healthy’s Derek Sarno, Made In Chelsea’s Lucy Watson (pictured) and BBC 1 presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford.

Launched in the UK in January 2014, Veganuary is a registered charity that inspires and supports people to try vegan for a month, in January and throughout the rest of the year. Since its formation in 2014 participant numbers have doubled year on year, with 168,500 people from across the world taking part in 2018. This January around 300,000 people are thought to be trying vegan. Veganuary’s growth reflects growing interest in veganism in the UK, with some research estimating that 7% of the population now identify as vegan.

Simon Winch, CEO of Veganuary, commented: “2019 is set to be massive for veganism. From new vegan products in supermarkets to superstar vegans like Lewis Hamilton and Miley Cyrus, it’s never been a better time to give it a go.”
