Spar Scotland teams up with Subway

Spar Scotland has established a new partnership with sandwich chain Subway.

The venture has already seen ten Subway restaurants open in stores across the country including the SLR Award shortlisted Spar Maryhill, along with stores in Carnoustie High Street, Erskine and Glamis Centre in Glenrothes, with plans to open more throughout the year.

Spar Scotland says that the introduction Subway stores is a natural complement to the existing Spar offer, and hopes the partnership will generate employment.

A spokesperson for Spar Scotland said: “Our new partnership with the Subway brand will give our stores the ability to offer customers great value subs, salads and flatbreads freshly made in front of them and also bring additional jobs into these areas. We’re constantly looking for innovative solutions to develop our stores and meet the needs of our customers.”
