Customers had plenty of laughs this morning (1 April) as fun-loving Scottish retailers indulged in some April Fools’ Day shenanigans.

Retailers across the nation have been offering all manner of weird and wonderful services and products as they unleash their inner pranksters.

Buywell Today in Glasgow and Levenhall Village Store in Musselburgh announced a new pet delivery service through Snappy Shopper where customers can have puppies, kittens and rabbits delivered straight to their doors (see main pic).

Over in Stirling, Sunny’s Premier offered customers the chance to queue jump by upgrading to VIP membership.

Having seen success with Echo Falls Blue Raspberry, the team at Nisa Ali’s Royston told customers that they were expecting a delivery of a new Echo Falls Dragon Fruit flavour.

Meanwhile, Gilmerton Grocers in Edinburgh raved about a new Echo Falls Vine Tomato Fusion variant.

Despite having just purchased a sixth home delivery vehicle, Spar Motherwell Road decided to take things one step further with Snappy Shopper drone deliveries.

Londis Solo Convenience in Baillieston promised a whole host of rather questionable NPD, with Cheese & Onion Digestives, Ketchup flavour Nesquik, Heinz Chocolate Mayonnaise, Cadbury Dairy Milk Marmite and Irn-Bru Toothpaste all on offer from noon.
