Samples galore from Coke Zero

Coke Zero sampling team

Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) has launched a nationwide sampling campaign to drive consumer trial and support sales of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, which is now the fourth-biggest cola brand within Grocery & Convenience in Great Britain.

The campaign will distribute over five million samples of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar to households; offices; railway and underground stations; and shopping centres across the country throughout the summer. Samples will be accompanied by a voucher for a follow-up free bottle to further encourage more people to trial the no-sugar variant.

The activity is designed to help support retailer sales of zero sugar soft drinks, and follows the £14.5m marketing investment made in 2016 to launch Coca-Cola Zero Sugar in GB.

Simon Harrison, Operational Marketing Director GB at CCEP, said: “Coca-Cola Zero Sugar is a driving force in the cola category. We are winning consumer preference and the brand is growing share as a result. Our strategy to encourage more consumers to trial our great tasting, zero sugar variant is building a loyal fan base for the variant which is almost a year old.

“Our summer sampling activation will build on the impressive success Coca-Cola Zero Sugar has enjoyed to date, while further helping to drive retailer sales.”
