Retailer-run platform offers mental health support

Retail Family Safe Space
Retailers in need of mental health support from their peers can turn to the ‘Retail Family – Online Safe Space’ Facebook page.

Run by Glasgow retailer Natalie Lightfoot; fellow Londis retailer Atul Sodha, who has a store in Middlesex; Peterborough retailer Neil Godhania; The Fed’s Nathan Hall, and Mondelez International’s Alisdair Hamilton, the group is hosting weekly virtual meetings, alternating between Mondays and Thursdays.

“We know only too well how tough it is in retail right now and over the past months have spoken with many of you and we hear your desire to have access to a safe space to open up among peers,” said Natalie.

“Mental Health can affect one in four people in the UK, so let’s not suffer in silence or alone. Retail Family – Online Safe Space is a way to help.

The next meeting will take place on Thursday 31 July.
