Sweet maker Swizzels is marking the 70th anniversary of its Refreshers brand with the launch of a new Tropical Chew Bar.
The new product retains Refreshers’ fizzy sherbet centre but with the taste of mango and pineapple, reflecting the growing popularity of fruity flavours.
It is available from wholesalers as an 18g single (RSP 20p) in price-marked boxes of 60 bars.
Swizzels is also marking the milestone with the launch of The Great Community Refresh – a nationwide initiative which invites people to nominate a community project, group or asset in need of a ‘refresh’. This might include a community garden that needs reviving, a mural to brighten a community centre or a local group in need of new supplies.
Seven winners will each receive a prize of £1,000 to make their community refresh a reality, bringing people together and giving back to those who have supported Swizzels for decades.
