Red Bull is launching a new Winter Edition with the taste of Fuji Apple and Ginger, available with and without sugar, from October.
The flavour combines one of the world’s most popular apple varieties with the spiciness of ginger. Consumer feedback has been positive, with the taste described as “zingy, refreshing and giving a boost”. Nearly three-quarters of shoppers find the flavour profile appealing – particularly those under 35.
The pack features a gradient effect from warm red to yellow, designed to stand out on shelf and encourage trial.
Functional Flavoured Energy Drinks are now bought by 22% of Brits, and with one in three shoppers keen to try new flavours often, Red Bull said the launch brings innovation to stores.
The new flavour follows the launch of Red Bull’s second Winter Edition, Iced Vanilla Berry, in 2024. That variant drove engagement over the winter period, with 63% of purchases planned – helping bring shoppers into store at a key time to drive sales. Red Bull said the results demonstrate the additional sales opportunity presented by limited edition and seasonal products around Christmas and summer.
Red Bull Winter Edition Fuji Apple and Ginger will be available in single 355ml and 473ml cans and 4 x 250ml multipacks, with and without sugar. A full-sugar 250ml can will also be available in plain and price-marked formats. To drive trial, Red Bull is introducing a £1 PMP of the new flavour as a WIGIG.
