Red Bull invests in off-trade with new Director

Red Bull has appointed Jon Hughes as the new Director for the Off Trade where he will lead the grocery and convenience side of the business, driving the business strategy to ensure continued growth for the brand in the UK marketplace. Hughes joins with strong credentials, having broad commercial leadership experience across the FMCG, Drinks and Healthcare sectors. He has previously worked for a wide range of businesses including Kimberly Clark and Heineken UK. Leading teams across the Grocery, Wholesale and Impulse channels in sales, supply chain and customer marketing roles.

On his appointment, Hughes commented: “I am thrilled to be joining Red Bull at what is an exciting and challenging time for Energy Drinks. Whilst penetration is growing the market is becoming increasingly crowded but Red Bull is in a really strong position where we can continue to drive growth, playing a hugely important role in the ongoing success of the category.”
