Pie brand Pukka has launched its first-ever single pack frozen pie, specially developed for the convenience channel.
Pukka Chicken Pie is available in a £1.49 price-marked pack and can be cooked from frozen in a microwave oven in four minutes. It comes in a ‘foil’ case which the brand says “guarantees great-tasting pastry and no soggy bottoms”.
Commenting on the new SKU, Pukka boss Isaac Fisher said: “It represents a huge opportunity for independent retailers to leverage both the fast-growing popularity of frozen and Pukka’s unrivalled magnetism when it comes to pulling in shoppers.”
