Lactalis UK & Ireland is expanding its Président portfolio with the launch of Président Crème Fraîche, marking the brand’s first fresh cream SKU in the UK.
Available in a 200ml resealable tub with an RSP of £1.55, the product brings a premium, authentically French offer to the chilled cream fixture – a category still largely dominated by private label.
Made in Normandy, Président Crème Fraîche is designed to deliver a rich, thick texture that stays stable and smooth when heated, adding a creamy finish to both savoury and sweet dishes.
The launch targets growing demand for affordable, premium at-home experiences, as shoppers look to elevate everyday meals with minimal effort. The crème fraîche is pitched as a versatile option for sauces, soups, curries and pasta, as well as bakes, desserts and toppings, with resealable packaging intended to support storage and freshness.
As one of the few branded crème fraîches available, Lactalis says the launch offers retailers a point of difference for shoppers looking to trade up from own label, while encouraging existing Président shoppers to use the brand more in everyday cooking. The new SKU will be supported by in-store activation at launch, including POS and shopper education to drive awareness and inspire usage.
