Potato vodka wins more awards

Ogilvy Spirits team

Scotland’s first potato vodka, made by Ogilvy Spirits, has achieved two awards at the 2015 International Wine and Spirit Competition.

Ogilvy Vodka claimed the Vodka Trophy and also a Gold Outstanding award. The win builds on the company’s success earlier this year at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, where the spirit won a Silver and Double Gold Medal.

Graeme Jarron, founder of Ogilvy Spirits, started to produce the vodka on his diversified Hatton of Ogilvy Farm in Forfar in January and is delighted with the wins.

He said: “We worked hard to design a unique recipe and production techniques which have resulted in a ‘sipping’ vodka with a complex flavour profile.”
