Employee-owned wholesaler Parfetts has joined the Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA), as the business continues to build momentum north of the border, with growing demand for its delivered wholesale service and Go Local fascia.
Colin Smith, chief executive of the Scottish Wholesale Association, said: “We welcome Parfetts to the SWA and look forward to working with them as they grow and become part of the Scottish wholesaling community.
“Our mission is to protect, promote and support the wholesale sector, helping build a more collaborative and resilient supply chain. By bringing an employee-owned structure into the fold, Parfetts adds a different model and perspective to the Scottish wholesale landscape.”
The employee ownership model remains a key point of difference for Parfetts, shaping both its culture and its approach to retailer support. The business reinvests in pricing, promotions and service, with a clear focus on delivering consistent value in a challenging trading environment.
Guy Swindell, joint managing director of Parfetts, said: “We are growing rapidly in Scotland, driven by a clear focus on protecting independent retailers’ margins and the strength of our employee ownership model. That approach is resonating strongly with retailers who want a partner that is fully aligned with their long-term success.
“To support this growth, we have joined the Scottish Wholesale Association, which will allow us to add further value to our retailers through the advice, leadership and support the organisation provides. We’ve already had a great reception in Scotland and are seeing strong demand for both our delivered offer and the Go Local symbol group.”
