Lineker still pinching crisps for Walkers

Walkers is supporting the launch of its new 175g re-sealable Sharing packs with an eight-week TV campaign featuring brand ambassador Gary Lineker, as part of its UEFA Champions League sponsorship.

Kicking-off this week, the advert features people gathered together to watch a football match in a variety of locations, from the pub to a living room. Lineker features mid-way through as the ‘goal poacher’ when he – unsurprisingly – tries to take someone else’s crisps.

John Savage, UK brand manager – Walkers Crisps at PepsiCo, commented: “We are excited to be able to introduce a playful TV advert to support the launch of our new re-sealable sharing packs.  ‘#WalkersUnited’ represents a brand-new positioning for Walkers’ sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League, placing less emphasis on the superstars on the pitch and more on the fans watching the match at home.”

The TV advert first aired this week, and runs until the end of April.
