Kerry Foods has turned to Mexico for inspiration for the latest addition to its Attack A Snak range.

The new chipotle-flavoured limited-edition, Ham ‘N’ Cheese with Mexican Mayo, targets tween consumers (9 to 13 year olds) with a high-protein (13g per pack) offering.

It joins the existing line up, which includes Chicken ‘N’ Cheese with Tomato Ketchup, Ham ‘N’ Cheese with Tomato Ketchup and Chicken ‘N’ Cheese with BBQ Sauce.

Alison Lees, Attack A Snak Marketing Manager at Kerry Foods, commented: “With the continuing success of our core Attack A Snak range, we wanted to provide retailers with a new variant which would offer tweens an alternative option to suit their growing tastes for more aspirational foods and flavours.

“With the kids’ cheese snacking category experiencing +4.2% growth, and Attack A Snak outperforming this with +18.4% growth , this is the perfect time for us to launch the new format.  The limited-edition flavour will help retailers tap into this growth opportunity and generate further interest and excitement within the category.”

Attack A Snack Ham ‘N’ Cheese with Mexican Mayo is available from April 26 with an RRP of £1.50/99g. Each pack contains two slices of ham, two flour wraps, one Cheestring and a Mexican chipotle mayo sauce sachet.
