Famous Grouse goes home for Christmas

Maxxium is getting right behind The Famous Grouse this festive season with a £2m marketing campaign, which represents the largest-ever Christmas investment for the brand.

Reaching over 40 million adult consumers between October and December, the campaign includes two new television adverts featuring the brand’s famous icon. In contrast to traditional Grouse adverts, which have graced TV screens for 20 years, the eponymous bird now appears in his natural Highland setting.

The new ads are intended to communicate the “perfectly balanced” and “smooth” characteristics of the blended whisky.

The first advert – titled ‘Perfectly Balanced’ – will air for the first time on 17th October on various channels and video-on-demand, with a second commercial scheduled for November.

Johna Penman, Marketing Controller for The Famous Grouse, commented: “Christmas is always a key season for The Famous Grouse but this year will be even bigger and better. We’ve invested a significant amount in this festive season and it’ll be the first time we’ve run two new adverts for The Famous Grouse in rotation.”

The campaign will also feature in 3,000 bus shelters across key cities.
