Confectionery maker Langtins has launched Coneys, a new ambient snack inspired by the chocolate‑filled tip of an ice‑cream cone.
The launch aims to extend ice‑cream appeal beyond peak summer and let retailers tap demand year‑round. The format pairs a crisp wafer cone with a smooth filling in a freezer‑free pack positioned between confectionery and biscuits.
The six-strong range includes Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Coconut, Double Chocolate, and Double Chocolate with Strawberry variants.
Each pack contains six bite‑sized filled wafer cones with a creamy, fruity centre. Pricing is set at RSP £2.50 (one pack), RSP £10 (four packs), RSP £18 (eight packs) and RSP £24 (12 packs), targeting lunchtime treats, evening snacks and special occasions.
Langtins said similar products have found success in the US, but Coneys is the only one currently available in the UK. It also claimed the product plays to the widely loved final bite of an ice‑cream cone, translating that moment into a portable snack for all seasons.
