Costcutter has provided free printed POS materials to all its Scottish retailers on the mandatory wearing of face coverings in stores, alongside social media assets to help retailers communicate the new regulations to shoppers.

It is also providing free unbranded signage for any Scottish independent retailer to download from its website which tells customers that their store is continuing to operate the two-metre social distancing rule.

Costcutter’s Marketing Director Sean Russell said: “The welfare of independent retailers, their staff, shoppers and our colleagues remains our number one priority and we wanted to ensure that our Scottish retailers could rapidly adjust to the new guidelines.

“We continue to be inspired by our store owners, many of whom are going that extra mile to support their local communities. We also wanted to share some of the resources and support we have developed with the wider retailer community.”
