JW Filshill’s Click & Collect ordering model – introduced in the summer – has proved a hit with cash and carry customers, according to the Paisley-based wholesaler.
The service saw a significant sales spike during the pre-Christmas trading period, with December’s Click & Collect sales up 50% compared to the previous month.
Craig Brown, Filshill’s Retail Sales Director said Click & Collect had transformed the business for the digital age.
“Retailers are really embracing technology and can see how it brings benefits to their business,” he said. “In the case of Click & Collect, we do the hard work for them, meaning that they don’t have to spend time away from their stores searching for products and loading trolleys.”
